Carver County is beginning to take its first steps toward the creation of a community resource center (CRC). At the April 2 County Board Meeting, money was set aside to fund a future CRC in Carver County. These funds, along with a needs assessment survey that is being finalized to determine the community’s needs, are the next steps towards the creation of a CRC.
On June 1, 2023, Carver County was notified by the state of Minnesota that the county would receive 2 1-time payments that stemmed from “a formulaic error was found and identified that resulted in our cost allocation process being reduced,” said Director of Health and Human Services in Carver County Heather Goodwin at the April 2 County Board Meeting.
