Carver County Community Land Trust Program Steps
If you are interested in purchasing a land trust home from the Carver County Community Land Trust (CCCLT), complete the following steps:
Complete the online Pre-Screening Questionnaire. This will help determine if you are eligible to participate in the program. Buyer(s) gross income cannot exceed 80% Area Median Income (AMI) adjusted by household size. Include annual gross incomes for all persons 18+ in the household.

FY 2025 Maximum Household Income Limits (80% AMI)
Complete the Income and Assets Attestation Form and schedule your CLT Orientation.
Meet one-on-one with a CDA / CCCLT employee for a Community Land Trust Orientation.
Attend a Home Stretch Homebuyer Education Workshop (In-person or virtual workshops accepted). Note: Framework online courses are not accepted.
Get qualified for a first mortgage loan through a CCCLT approved lender, or a lender familiar with community land trusts.
Apply for additional funding, such as down payment and/or closing cost assistance.
Fill out the full CCCLT application. (This will be sent out by the CCCLT if a home is available, and all steps and prior requirements have been met.)
Become a CLT homeowner!
Use these steps as a checklist. Application for the program will be considered complete when all steps are completed and all documentation is received.
