The CDA held a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 3 at our newest building. The CDA will work in partnership with MACV to house homeless veterans. CDA Executive Director Julie Frick opened the ceremony with a welcome and introduction of the CDA board. The ceremony included highlights of the newly formed partnership and work within the state to end veterans homelessness. “It’s no longer a marathon as it relates to this issue, it’s a sprint,” Commissioner Herke with Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs speaking on the issue of ending veteran’s homelessness. Thanks to the CDA Board, Carver County, MACV Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, Representative Greg Boe, Rollie Olson from Representative Dean Phillip’s office, Commissioner Larry Herke from DVA, the Chaska Lions, City of Chaska and all the others in attendance as we celebrate our new partnership to serve veterans.
