If you have been impacted by COVID-19, and need help paying your housing or utilities costs, there are two programs available to help.

Carver County COVID Relief Fund

The CDA, in coordination with Carver County, are assisting renters and homeowners who have directly impacted by COVID-19 and need help with housing and utility expenses.

Assistance for Residents

For households who have not previously received funding from the county or state, funding up to $10,000 per household or up to six months of housing and/or utility payments is available.  For households who have previously received funding, up to $5000 or three months of payments is available.

Funding is available to help with rent, mortgage, homeowner’s association dues, and utilities including gas, electric and septic.  This assistance includes current month and past due bills back to December 1, 2020.  Residents must show that COVID-19 has impacted their housing stability.

Although there is a temporary moratorium on evictions and in some cases foreclosures, and utility companies are being asked not to shut off utilities, payments are still due when those restrictions are lifted.  Now is the time to get caught up.

Funding is available on a first come, first serve basis until funds are expended or September 30, 2021, whichever comes first.

Funding is available on a first come, first serve basis until funds are expended or September 30, 2021, whichever comes first.
