Maintenance Techinician

The CDA is hiring a maintenance technician. Our property maintenance technicians are a key member of an onsite property team. This position provides maintenance, repair, and upkeep at our CDA owned rental housing.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position description:

Our property maintenance technicians are a key member of an onsite property team. This position provides maintenance, repair, and upkeep at our CDA owned rental housing. Areas of responsibility include mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and lock repair. Technicians are on call one week out of six on a rotating basis. When on-call, employees must remain within 45 minutes of CDA owned properties in Carver County.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must have one to three years of multi-family rental housing maintenance experience including basic plumbing, and electrical repair, appliance installation and repair, carpentry, HVAC, and general preventative maintenance. Special Class Boilers license preferred (or the ability to obtain one within three months). A valid Minnesota’s Driver’s License with access to reliable insured transportation is required. Final candidates are subject to a pre-employment physical and a criminal background check.

Salary and Benefits:

The CDA offers a competitive hourly salary (midpoint of salary range is $21 to $26 per hour, plus or minus, depending on experience) and a complete benefit package, including paid (free) employee medical, dental, (dependent coverage is available at a reasonable cost) and life insurance, short and long term disability, participation in a pension plan with a generous 11% agency contribution, 20 days per year of PTO and 10 paid holidays. A company vehicle is available during business hours and uniforms provided. A $200 stipend is paid for the on-call week, as well as overtime for work performed.
