Caretaker

Due to expansion, we are seeking qualified candidates to perform caretaking/ janitorial duties in a CDA owned apartment rental home community in Waconia with additional work sites in Watertown and Mayer.  This position is full time, 40 hours per week, daytime hours. Duties include cleaning of assigned common areas and cleaning of turns or vacated units.

Qualifications:

Prior commercial cleaning experience/rental community highly preferred. Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds required. Valid driver’s license and access to insured, reliable transportation required.  Mileage between work sites is reimbursed at the IRS approved rate. Final candidates subject to a pre-employment physical and criminal background check.

Salary and Benefits:

The CDA offers a competitive hourly rate $16.00 to $18.00 depending on prior experience with an excellent benefit package including CDA paid employee medical insurance (with generous HSA contributions) and CDA paid employee dental coverage (dependent coverage for health and dental insurance available at a reasonable cost through payroll deduction) and free employee and family life insurance, CDA paid short and long term disability insurance, participation in a defined contribution pension plan with a generous 11% agency contribution, 20 days per year of PTO earned on an accrual basis, and 10 paid holidays. Employees have access to group vision insurance, a pre-tax and ROTH option for deferred income, and eligible federal loans may also quality for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
