Property Site Manager I
Come join our growing team at the Carver County Community Development Agency (CDA)! The Carver County CDA is a government agency that provides affordable housing and economic development services in Carver County. We are searching for an experienced property site manager who can help us and our residents continue to thrive. The manager will be assigned to sites within Carver County, which will require travel for site visits and meetings. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the properties, the manager will be responsible for marketing, resident selection and retention, leasing/orientation, rent collections, accounts payable, budgeting/financial review, unit inspections and adherence to fair housing practices, and other duties as assigned.
Summary of Responsibilities and Requirements including but not limited to:
- Ongoing, monitor inspections for the property
- Keep site office organized and clean
- Keep up to date on filing
- Maintain positive and respectful relationships with vendors, residents, and coworkers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of rental housing management experience
- Proven managerial skills including administrative, organizational, verbal and written communication skills, budgeting and accounting knowledge, marketing and computer skills and great people skills.
- YARDI management software is a plus

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, non-exempt starting at $21.97 – $24.54 an hour.

Caretaker
Come join our growing team at the Carver County Community Development Agency (CDA)! The Carver County CDA is a government agency that provides affordable housing and economic development services in Carver County. We are searching for a caretaker who can help us, and our residents continue to thrive. The caretaker will be assigned to sites within Carver County, which will require travel for site visits and meetings. In addition to performing caretaker and janitorial duties at CDA sites, the caretaker will provide a clean, safe, and odor-free environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Summary of Responsibilities and Requirements including but not limited to:
- Clean public areas of building(s) and grounds as assigned
- Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including, but not limited to: vacuum carpets, sweeping, mop hard floor surfaces, dust and/or damp wipe surfaces, sanitize bathrooms, all glass windows and mirrors
- Sweep walkways, pick up trash on grounds and near trash dumpster area
- Snow removal, salt/sand walks as needed
- Assist in maintaining landscaping including watering new plantings and annuals
- Clean vacated apartments to ensure that turnover is completed within 5 days after a move-out or sooner to meet deadline of re-rental
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain positive and respectful relationships with vendors, residents, and coworkers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year(s) of experience
- Knowledge of standard cleaning and light maintenance procedures
- Ability to use cleaning products, supplies and equipment properly
- Ability to function in varying environmental conditions, i.e., allergens, plants, smoke, odors, and absence of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds required

Maintenance Technician I
The Carver County Community Development Agency (CDA) is seeking a talented and reliable maintenance technician to join our growing team. The Carver County CDA is a government agency that provides affordable housing and economic development services in Carver County. As a key member of the property team, this position provides maintenance, repair, and upkeep at CDA owned and managed sites. Areas of responsibility include mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and lock repair. Paid overtime and a $200 stipend for on-call. While on call, employees must remain within 45 minutes of CDA owned properties, in Carver County.
Summary of Responsibilities and Requirements including but not limited to:
- Perform general maintenance work on CDA owned properties
- Processing work order requests in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of unit turns
- Perform emergency maintenance work
- Maintain positive and respectful relationships with vendors, residents, and coworkers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the above areas including basic plumbing, and electrical repair, appliance installation and repair, carpentry, HVAC, and general preventative maintenance
- Rental apartment maintenance highly preferred
- Special class boilers license is preferred (or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire)
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds required
- A valid Minnesota Driver’s License with access to reliable insured transportation is required
Final candidates are subject to a pre-employment physical and a criminal background check.
This position is full time, 40 hours a week. The CDA offers a competitive salary range of $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience.
